Wrestling season is upon us and it seems that our Falcon wrestlers are ready to win it all. After only one wrestler, Caylen Lowery, qualified for the State Tournament last season, all of our returning and new wrestlers want to make it to that stage. Returning senior varsity wrestlers Joe Filippi, Luke Rider, & Justin Meiers, and Lowery are all looking forward to the new season.

“I feel like I’m going to be a lot better this year; not only am I physically stronger, I’m a lot stronger mentally and I’m ready for the challenge,” Filippi said. Filippi ended the season 14-14, a straight even record, he states “it wasn’t great but its something, and that’s one thing I’m hoping to improve”.

Head Coach Todd Sacquitne said, “I’m excited. I can’t predict what’ll happen, but it’s going to be a good season. We have a lot of returning and new wrestlers and we’re hoping to take over the 6A.”  after ending the 2018-19 season 2-6, The Heights Wrestling Falcons are looking for revenge against Kapaun Mt. Carmel after winning only one match last year in the opening duel.
