Senior quarterback Garrett Haskins will credit the 53-14 romp over the SE Buffaloes to a team effort, but there is little doubt his veteran leadership was at the heart of the Falcon’s win Thursday night.

Haskins accounted for four of the Falcons touchdowns – three on the ground and a 20-yd pass to receiver Malcolm Ganther. Complementing Haskins’ performance was the power running of the Heights’ backfield led by senior tailback Rodney Murphy who racked up 98 yards on five carries with two touchdowns.

The Falcon offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage throughout the game and provide Haskins with good protection, which is key after Haskins was sideline last year just before the playoffs with a broken ankle.

On defense the Falcons stuffed the Buffaloes, holding them scoreless until the 6:44 mark of the third quarter.
