.500 Season

Wichita Heights Boys Soccer 2013

.500 Season

Five wins, five loses and two ties. That was the record for the JV soccer team this season. Right at the .500 mark.

The team got off to a good start winning their first game of the year against Trinity High School.  The team just couldn’t get consecutive wins throughout the season. The two ties came against Rose Hill and Southeast, games that the team thought; and knew that they could have won with committing fewer mistakes. “Only ten minutes away in most of our games from winning,” said Coach Reece.

People could see this as an average season, while others can see it as a learning stage and a huge step of improvement for what is to come in the future. With so many young players on the team, a season right at .500 is pretty impressive with little chemistry between them. The team will get right back at it this summer to start working for a season above the .500 mark.
