Teenagers should be getting about 8 1/2 hours of sleep every night. Teens tend to have irregular sleep patterns throughout the week. They tend to stay up late and sleep in on the weekends. Many teenagers suffer from sleeping disorders such as insomnia or narcolepsy.

If you don’t get enough sleep you will lose your ability to focus, you will also be more prone to acne. Sleep deprivation can lead to behavioral problems. Some ways to help get to sleep are to skip naps, get rid of caffeine, stick to a schedule, and adjust the lighting.
