So far this season is going pretty good according to Coach Heckman. Last week in Salina, they did well and they were even missing several swimmers. Some improvements that need to be made to make the team better are for the swimmers to get healthier. There seems to be a lot of sickness going around and some swimmers have injuries. However, they can also improve by getting faster and working harder.

This year, compared to previous years, is about the same. This year they have about 5 really talented great swimmers along with about 7-8 swimmers that are very quality depth.

One of the teams’ goals this season is to bring home a trophy from state.  Brice Blattner and Colton Hall are two team leaders for the Boys Swim team because of their work ethic and dedication.

In three words, Heckman described that the team as “Extreme and dedicated,” because some swimmers are very dedicated and come to every practice and there are others that have only came to a few practices. The swim team this season is a big team and if everyone on the team would try their hardest, it’d be an even greater team.
