Peer Leaders are in charge of community service activities at Heights and  help organize many school events.

The Peer Leaders are starting the year helping with a charity event at Chisholm Trail middle school On Tuesday, September 18. Then they gear up for one of their biggest events, the annual Turkey Drive During the Turkey  Drive, the Peer Leaders collect food, money and supplies for people who do not have money to celebrate Thanksgiving.

“It’s all about knowing you helped someone who really needs basic things for living” Ashley Vega, Peer Leader president said. “When you see faces of happy children, your heart is filled with joy and you become more thankful for thing you have.”

The Peer Leaders are also giving presentations to Freshmen to help them get familiar with rules.

In addition to Vega, the group includes: Camryn Chambers, Kayli Lipsey, Oscar Rivas, Joe Filippi, Faisal Arshad, Gregkayla Barnes, Brakayla Bradford, Nathan Brainard, RaJone Callahan, Savannah Caton, Ashton Conley, Anthony Cuevas, Trevor Davis, Dylan Depperschmidt, Ryan Depperschmidt, Nick Dinh, Jayden Earl, Mycah Garner, Cheyenne Goodman, Izaiah Hale, Grace Hankins, Evan Jensen, Ashlynn Kelly, Samuel Kiguru, Olivia Lehrman, Aaron Ly, Jaxon Olds, Ebube Otuonye, Lamon Pyne, Joshua Sanders, Andrew Thornton, Harmony Williams, TorRae’ Wilson, Noah Brandon and Denair Dempsey.
