IMG_9658A.jpgUnited Way is a global foundation that brings individuals and organizations together to meet needs such as caring for elderly, offering programs for youth, supporting families, providing drug abuse prevention, and more. United way operates a 2-1-1 call center that connects people to nonprofit and government human services. Kansans can just dial 2-1-1 or visit www.211kansas.org to get help.

Height chose to fundraise through United way because they help many different organizations and causes. So by Heights having one fundraiser we can help many causes rather than just one. Plus it is one of the biggest foundations in Kansas.

The United Way Assembly was held on November 7th during Advocacy, and it included actives such as Pool of Yum, Egg Roulette, Flying Chicken, Hula Hoop, Junk in the Trunk, and Push Ups Students enjoyed watching their peers compete in and at the same time helped people in need.
