Football Season Off and Running

K’Vonte Baker in to the endzone again, scoring 8 TD’s against Dodge City.

Heights football started off the season 0-2, losing to Olathe North and Wichita Northwest the first two weeks of the season.  But the last three weeks the Falcons have turned it around winning all three games by an average of 58 points per game, beating Dodge City 65-0, Wichita Southeast 40-14 and Wichita North 71-8. Quarterback K’Vonte Baker has been one of the reasons the Falcons have turned it around as he leads the team with over 700 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns.  All of those stats have been the past three weeks as he sat out the first two games of the season.  During the game against Dodge City, K’Vonte broke several Heights football records.  One of them was rushing yards in a single game with 452 yards, shattering the old record by 162 yards. He also broke the record for the longest run for a touchdown at 93 yards and most points scored in a game with 50 points, which equals 8 TD’s.

Heights is looking to finish the season strong with games against Kapaun, Bishop Carroll and Wichita South.
