It’s school on at Heights

The 1107 students and 150 faculty and staff at Wichita Heights High School have traded in the carefree days of summer for days filled with classes, practices, and routines.

For the freshmen, the real lessons of the first two weeks was navigating the halls of Heights and adjusting to 95-minute classes.

On the other end of the High School experience, Seniors started coming to grips with the reality that this will be their last year in Wichita Public Schools. Some seniors will savor every minute they have left together, while others are already looking past graduation to college, careers, and life after Heights.

Whether it is a freshman’s first day at Heights or a senior’s first day of his or her last year at Heights, the start of school is a time for both apprehension and anticipation.
