“It was a blast, to put on a show so quickly. It was an experience I could only get at Heights” said Christian Yost, vocal music student teacher.

Heights High School put on their 6th annual show, “Broadway and Bluejeans” September 12 and September 14.

The show highlights songs from popular Broadway musicals. “The students give input about the which musicals we should do and I make the song selection.” said the Music Director Mark Walker. “It wasn’t hard to learn music and choreography;” However, “It was stressful to prepare for.”

The musicals that were performed were South Pacific, Cabaret, Into The Woods, and Legally Blonde.

Originally the Broadway in Bluejeans was a fundraiser for Madrigals and Falconettes Walker said. However today, it is one of the program’s biggest shows.

In addition to the musical experience, the show is a good way for all the choir students to come together and have a good time.
