Broadway in Blue Jeans


Natassja Norwood has a solo in “The Telephone Hour,” “Bye Bye Birdie.

The Heights Vocal Music brought the hits of Broadway to the Heights stage in its annual Broadway in Blue Jeans production September 22 and 23. The show featured some the the best known works of musical theater with songs from “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Les Miserables,” “Guys and Dolls,” and “High School Musical.”
Broadway in Blue Jeans began several years ago to raise money for the Vocal Music programs trip to New York City. This year, vocal music instructor will again take students to experience America’s musical center and to perform in the city’s venues.
Performing in Heights Broadway review were the Concert Choir, Madrigal, Men’s Chorus, Women’s Ensemble, Falconettes, and Women’s Chorus. In addition, a number of vocal music students sang featured solos. The groups were accompanied by Tony Gowin.
