Hartman Arena ART ROCKS competition
Wichita Heights art program recently participated in Hartman Arena’s “ART ROCKS” Mural Project, along with other Wichita schools. Several different students helped create Heights portion of the project; Whitney Haight, Grace Campbell, Annika Sheeler, and Skylar Rees.
The ART ROCKS Mural project is not only to make the venue more beautiful ,but it showcases the talent of local high school artists.
Hartman Arena provided each school $100 for supplies to prepare for the project so there are no school expenses. The project consists of; Rock History, Kansas History, “Welcome to Hartman Arena,” Kansas Sports, and Kansas Industry.
This isn’t just a fun art project for schools, it’s a contest between all the high schools who participated. The winning school receives $1000 to go towards their art program.
Height’s was awarded 2nd place and received a $250 prize.
